Thank you Lola and Lexy
Every year, a gift exchange is organized in the Cat Blogosphere (thank you Paula!). A few days ago, we received a big package: this year, our Secret Paws were Lola et Lexy, and their greeting card was attached to the gifts.
All the presents were beautifully wrapped in rustling paper, it was fantastic: even the packaging was in itself a gift !
Claire received a lovely scarf, a nice lid cup and a colorful potholder, and we received an irresistible fruit assortment, a tunnel and bonito flakes! Did I mention that the fruit came from Yeowww?
After a good dose of… uh… lemon, I went to explore the tunnel, and you know what? It’s a rustling tunnel! It makes rustles when you play with it, I love it!
And since I’m kind, I even shared my lemon with Zorro.
Thank you so much, Lola and Lexy (and their human Dawn), you spoiled us!

Our package is here!
We wanted to let our Secret Paws know that our package is here! Our tradition is to wait and open it on Christmas Day and report back.

Sending our Secret Paws
It has taken our silly Momma way too long to post this! We sent our Secret Paws present last week and it should be safely arrived by now (we hope). We kept trying to get into the presents like they were for us and we wouldn't leave them alone, so Momma had to put us in the other room so that we didn't sample the goodies. She told us they were for our Secret Paws pals!
See? There are so many nummy treats and cool toys - of course, we would want to play with it!
Hey look! There are human treats, too.
After Momma got everything wrapped, then she let us come back and look.
It got mailed the next day and should already be to our Secret Paws. We sure hope they like all of their goodies!

Oh Boy! On Its Way
Hello All Pals from Different Time Zones!
Peekaboo here to give you the latest.
We actually wrapped our Secret Paws goodies (I’m dying to tell you but Butterfly won’t let me—top secret) and Mom braved the Florida freezing weather of 65 degrees and dropped the box for special delivery.
Mom says it’s inside a car just like the one in the pillow behind me.
Butterfly 🦋 is in charge of keeping track where the box is as it goes all the way to ...PEEKABOO! Didn’t we discuss this already? Hush that mouth of yours.

Information About Participating in Secret Paws

The names of your Secret Paw were emailed to you today (Wednesday, November 25, 2020). If you don't receive your name(s) by Friday night (November 27), please email us immediately at sweetpurrfections@gmail.com so we can take care of this. We thought we'd post a few hints and reminders about participating in Secret Paws.
- Visit the blog of your secret paw to get to know a little about them. If they don't have a blog, read comments in the email you received to learn a more about your special kitty. Some have left blog posts on previous Secret Paws webpages (http://secretpaws2017.blogspot.com). Go to last year's posts on this page and type their blog name in the search bar on the top left.
- Double check the mailing address in your email to make sure it's a valid and complete address. You may want to look it up on the Internet to verify it. If it's not valid, email us and we'll contact your kitty.
- Check deadlines for shipping with the post office, Fed Ex, UPS, etc., especially if you are shipping to another country. We have a tab at the top of this page about shipping deadlines.
- We strongly recommend shipping your package using Priority Shipping in order to have a tracking number and insurance. Packages do get lost and this is the only way to track them and know when they are delivered.
- Be sure to include a card inside your package to identify who you are with your email and/or blog address so your secret paw can thank you.
- Review the likes and dislikes of the kitties from your email. Some of the kitties have allergies and we'd hate them to get something that would make them sick.
- Feel free to include in a little surprise for the human. They tend to like chocolates, notepads, and other special cat related items.
- Consider wrapping each item in holiday wrap. Many of the kitties have expressed they enjoy this.
- Some of the kitties have woofies and other fur children in their houses. This is an exchange for kitties, but if you feel comfortable sending something to the other species, please feel free to do so.
- Please accept the "author request" to post on this blog. If you can't find the email request, please let us know and we'll send it again.
- Feel free to post about putting your special package together to ship on your own blog and on the Secret Paws web page!
- When you receive your package, please either send an email thank you to your secret paw and/or post on your blog and/or this blog pictures of your kitties enjoying the package. Some kitties never heard from their Secret Paws last year. Failure to acknowledge the receipt of your package may disqualify you from participating in the future.
- Most of all, have fun!

We will check each day to see who has received their Secret Paws package and has posted either on their own blog or this blog. We won't contact anyone about receipt of Secret Paws package until the end of December.
Please be patient with everyone. Some packages that are shipped overseas take a little longer. Some people don't open the packages until Christmas.

Secret Paws 2020 Information
Welcome to Secret Paws 2020!
When the kitties of the Cat Blogosphere, from all 'round the world, join paws for the holidays to secretly exchange names and share the joy of gifting one another. This has been a tradition for more years than any of us can remember, and each year it seems to grow and grow.
Gift costs are always kept to a minimum, and we do our best to exchange names "within country", so none have the added expense of overseas shipping. We do ask that one and all respect deadlines, so all kitties have their goodies to open on Christmas Day!
So ~ whether you have joined in past years ~ or if Secret Paws is new to you ~ just let us know you want to be part of this event (deadline is 11/20/20, letting us know sooner is always better) ... and then you'll receive your very own
Secret Paw name from us, and Merry Meowy Holidays!

Who Can Participate?
Kitties who are part of a blog can participate in the Secret Paws Exchange. It doesn't matter if you are posting on a regular basis as long as there is a blog address where people can visit and get to know your cats. We know many who don't blog or who have a FB page would like to participate, but the Secret Paws Exchange will be limited to blogging kitties this year.
How Can I Participate?
If you would like to participate in Secret Paws 2019, please email the following information to Truffle and Brulee at our email address (sweetpurrfections@gmail.com) by November 20, 2020. Please put Secret Paws 2020 in the Subject Line. It's easiest to copy and paste this information in your email to make sure you include everything.
- Name of cat(s). Please specify name of cats and the number of cats.
- Email address.
- Name of Cat Blog
- Blog address
- Complete Mailing address: It's important to include your human's first and last name because some post offices will not deliver to an address without this; especially if you live out of the United States.
- Phone Number: This is for mailing purposes. Some packages required a phone number
- Would you be willing to ship a package to a kitty from another country? (Remember postage is higher and packages must be shipped earlier when shipping internationally)
- Favorite Color
- Favorite Treat
- Favorite Toy
- Information on items that should be avoided (specific flavors, toys, treats, etc.)
- Anything else you would like your Secret Paw to know about you.
Let's try to limit this to $25.
Important Information
Please send your information to Truffle and Brulee by November 20, 2020. Mom Paula will help us sort everything out within a week and we will email everyone their partner by November 23, 2020. Keep the Secret Paws "secret" this year until you receive yours and then post about your package on this blog and/or yours. The Secret Paws person/kitty that you send to may not be the same kitty you receive from. Please try to make sure everyone receives their Secret Paws package by December 15, 2019. We strongly recommend you ship international packages by December 1, 2020. We also strongly recommend that you use priority mail with a tracking number.We will also send everyone an invitation to contribute to this blog site so you can post pictures and a thank you once you receive yours.
Special Note: If you know of someone who could use a surprise package during the holidays but may not be able to participate, please let us know.
