The Farm Cats Say Thank You to Mudpie and Melissa

For the last few years the Farm cats have been happy pawticipants in the Secret Paws gift exchange. It's a secret Santa for cats and many of the cat bloggers that I have met through BlogPaws are the ones entering into the fun. The Farm cats packed up their Christmas gifts for cats and sent it out to their Secret Paw. I'm not going to mention where it went here. Tracking has indicated it was delivered but the cat hasn't posted about it yet.

Trout was especially excited about the package leaving as one of his cousins was going to make an East coast cat happy. Pumpkin, Sherpa and Harry hope that their chosen kitty and human like the gifts they sent.

Christmas Gifts for Farm Cats and ME!

The Farm cats' received their package on Monday and I don't make them wait until Christmas to open their box. Mostly because I have no patience and I have to know what is inside. What can I write? I'm like a little kid when it comes to Christmas.

Our Secret Paws this year came from Mudpie and Melissa! If you have never visited Melissa's Mochas, Mysteries and Meows you should head on over. I'll wait. Mudpie is a pretty tortie girl who like most cats, rules the roost. Melissa likes to read cat themed mysteries (get it?) and really likes Conway Twitty.

She and Mudpie sent the Farm cats and me a really thoughtful Secret Paws box. Inside were several wrapped packages and a really cute drawstring bag with instructions to not open until Christmas. I immediately ignored them.

What Was In the Christmas Gifts for Cats?

It was a bonanza for the Farm cats I will tell you that. Melissa obviously pays attention to what I write about these spoiled felines because she sent some of their favorite treats.

Oh, yeah. You see Harry's addiction there - Temptations. Harry's affection for these crunchy treats is pretty well known by now but all of the Farm cats' love of the Fancy Feast Filets is not quite as reported.

Needless to say, much slurping and gobbling was done and they thank Mudpie and Melissa from the bottom of their little cat stomachs.

Cat Toys Galore!

There were also a myriad of cat toys in the box. The Farm cats are very spoiled as we all know but I cannot keep chase toys around. They hide them on me. I fully believe that if we ever move I am going to find hundreds of furry mice, sparkle balls and the like under the bed.

So now thanks to this year's Secret Paw box I can keep them chasing and hiding for a little while longer. They do love to play with sparkle balls.

There were also some cute catnip furry toys that Sherpa has co-opted. He has taken all three of them and won't share.

Christmas Gifts for ME!

Part of the fun in sharing these boxes is including a little something for the human that is owned by the cats. Melissa and Mudpie sent me absolutely perfect gifts.

Two adorable cat kitchen towels. You would think I like to spend time in the kitchen baking coffee cake or something. Hahahaha. Aren't they just purrfect for me?

I also found a book entitled Strays and a bar of very delicious milk chocolate from Vermont. Erm, the chocolate is already gone. It was mighty tasty.

Thank you Melissa and Mudpie

We all appreciate the thought you put into our Secret Paws box. We feel very special and spoiled. All of us here hope that you and Mudpie have a very Merry Christmas.
